![]() ![]() Looking forward to being a part of your community! I'd like to have one or two planes permanently parked at gates, but I haven't figured out ways that don't involve turning off the terminal asset. More realistic taxiways alongside/among the runways. I'd like to see a guide or maybe experiment on my own to get an airport with crossing runways and realistic'ish behavior by the planes. An added downside is that the high density residential ploppables (placed to provide quick population for an office asset with an enormous employee population) will sometimes generate noise complaints. Planes don't fly through buildings or come close, but it's still obvious that a real life airport would provide a lot more clearance in a flat area like this one. Some things that could have been done better: The apron design mostly routes planes around other planes parked at gates. Landings come in on a straight path, instead of approaching at an angle and adjusting right before landing. The runway design does cause both runways to be used, with the outer being used for 95% of take-offs and the inner one being used for 100% (that I've seen) of landings. I still have some work to do (rail connection, fencing, control tower, etc.), but I got the basics done before I went to bed last night. Please accept these shots of my new airport for a town I named Kansas City. I don't know if many people still poke around this thread, but reaching 70k population and then building the first airport is a favorite milestone for me. Just found my way to this forum while searching for guidance on CS generally, but airport designs specifically. ![]()
